Okay.. I did this as sorta a surprise for my good friend Sianne... She plays Feanor in a Tolkien based chat... I hope I got this right... He should probably look more... grr... but um... call it a rare peaceful moment. Heh.

Wow.. I submit art two days in a ROW!! Tis a miracle I say. Anyway... this is obviously another of my "painted" portraits with the lines left in. I think I like 'em better this way.

So yeah... Feanor... definitely NOT copyright to me... He's copyright to Tolkien and... maybe a couple of other people...

The ear is way too low. ^.^;;. The beginning of the ear should start at the eye line. Otherwise, it is perfect.

I know my facial/head anatomy, his hair is what makes the beginning of the ear seem lower. Not EVERYONE'S face is perfectly aligned like that, it just seems that way, but in this case it's the hair. He's got very slight side burns and the hair is loosely tucked behind his ear. I've had similar "problems" show up with my drawings with the way hair falls. Someone accused me of giving one of the people I drew a too-skinny neck, but it was the way his hair fell that just made it LOOK skinny. So yeah... it's the way his hair "falls" that makes the ear look that way.
